Joe and his wife, Chris, have been married since 1985. Together they raised three sons, all now married, and their family has grown to include grandchildren.

An attorney since 1982, Joe has practiced in Crystal Lake since 1984. He began his legal career as an Assistant State’s Attorney in Livingston County, Illinois, serving from 1982 to 1984.

Joe earned his Juris Doctor from American University in Washington, D.C., in 1982, after receiving his bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois in 1979. He is a 1975 graduate of Streator High School.
