Early Voting Begins September 24
Early voting for the November 3 General Election begins Thursday, September 24, 2026 at the McHenry County Election Center. Additional early voting locations throughout McHenry County open on Monday, October 19.

VOTE BY MAIL
Request a Vote-by-Mail Ballot
Registered Illinois voters may request a ballot and vote by mail for the November 3, 2026 General Election. Requests submitted by mail must be received by October 29, 2026.
Returning Your Ballot
If you are returning your vote-by-mail ballot by mail, it must be postmarked by Election Day and received no later than 14 days following Election Day. Please allow our office two business days to process your request, and at least 7 business days for the USPS to deliver your ballot.
Already received your ballot but want to vote in person?
You may surrender your vote-by-mail ballot to an Election Judge at an early-voting location or your Election Day polling place.
